BOOK AVAILABLE NOW: The Art of Transformation. A Daily Approach to Uplifting Your Life.

It took me a long time to get this: everything that was happening for me in my life was because it was what I believed was possible for me. It’s a simple concept, but simple concepts aren’t necessarily easy to apply – especially because I believed I didn’t deserve good things.
Simple concepts often require a BIG practice to implement and integrate. I’ve written about this very real idea before. It takes regular, conscious engagement to if we want to change our habits and beliefs.  My calendar updates me on the things I have scheduled into my day, but it doesn’t prompt me to check in with what I’m thinking. That’s why I have had to create regular practices of checking in to what I am thinking. So I can keep on-top of the influx of thoughts that steer me towards thinking I don’t deserve much. The muscle of mindful presence gets stronger the more we practice using it.

What you believe, you attract. Simple.  What you think creates the life around you. Believe you will be in pain for the rest of your life, and so it will be. Believe you will never find someone who meets you where you are, so it will be. Believe you are unable to change your body, so it will be. Believe you are destined to struggle financially, so it will be. Believe the people around you are draining your vitality and energy, and you will be drained and exhausted all of the time.

Choose your thoughts wisely.  Notice what you tell yourself about what you can and can’t have, can or can’t do. If you wake up in the morning and are excited about your day and who you might run into or what you might experience, amazingly, your day ends up feeling fun and enjoyable.  The opposite is also true.

Have you ever decided that today you will look for the magic in the unknown and unplanned? Guaranteed that if you have, you’ve experienced the precious gift of joy. You have positioned yourself to be open to and move towards what feels good in mind, body and soul.  It’s the same as setting goals.  If you believe – deep within – that your goal is attainable, it will eventually find fruition. If you believe – in your heart – that you are unworthy of your goal, it will never manifest. It really is that simple.

Tempted to fight against my words and want to prove all the ways that you’re not getting what you deserve? Well, my friend, that is one indicator that you are pushing hard to believe that bad things are destined to happen to you.

You choose how you want to see your world.  You get to choose. Period. You get to choose how you want to feel. You get to choose who comes into your life. You get to choose how you respond to your life’s events.  You have an amazing capacity to create joy in your every day.  Have you harnessed that understanding? Are you ready to walk in this brilliance?
