BOOK AVAILABLE NOW: The Art of Transformation. A Daily Approach to Uplifting Your Life.

As you transition into the darkest days of the year, you’re likely busy. The holiday season is always rife with activity, and whether you’re a festive indulger or this season feels annoying, there tends to be a frenetic frequency in the air.

In the midst of all the twinkle lights and brightness of the season – we are nearing the darkest day of the year, winter solstice. The darkness has a way of pulling up what is stuffed deep down, it’s where we’re reminded of the new year coming upon us, an alertness of something percolating up inside us, a time to think about where we’ve been and where we’re going.

However, for so many of us, we get caught in the jingle and jangle of the season as we’re balancing parties, family, work, deadlines and of course, all the expectations’ that are placed on us and the ones we expect of ourselves. We may call this time the business of being busy. You might not have had the bandwidth to ponder the coming transition, but it’s coming, regardless of how much space we have to put your thoughts toward it.

If you’re one of the people that is dealing with a lot right now, the very idea of slowing down and considering how you’re ‘feeling’ right now, might feel too intense. It might be easier to stay distracted with life than to dig up what’s been stuffed down deep in your soul. However, for some of you, you might feel like you’re ready to unearth yourself, and excavate what’s ready to be pulled out, brought to light and released into the wilderness. You might feel called to letting go of some of the heaviness you’ve been carrying. It might be interesting to look beneath the busyness, and shine a light inward, although it can feel hard and grueling it can also be illumining and exciting.

If you’re ready to provoke a newness in your life, a revolution of self-awareness might be an exciting prospect.

If that’s you, I have one question as we near 2023 – what’s something you’re willing to let go of as you move into this time of transition?

Maybe it’s a belief about yourself, perhaps it’s a pattern that continues to replay in your life, or a way of seeing the world that feels like it’s holding you back. Such as ‘I have to work incredibly hard just to make ends meat’ or ‘I never have enough – money, time, sleep’ or ‘Dating is so hard, there’s so many jerks out there, it’s impossible to meet someone’ or ‘why do things seem to come easier for others?’ etc.

Releasing isn’t a simple process; I wrote about Why it’s so hard to let go a few weeks ago. There are two things you need in order to support yourself in this process. One is the willingness to look and ask the question, to be brave enough to listen to what comes up. The second is looking at the systems in your life that hold you in that belief or pattern. Ask yourself ‘what ways do I perpetuate this experience in my life?’ What language do you speak to yourself to maintain that experience? What conversations do you repeat in your mind?

Ponder the question, how would my life be different if I let that go? Would you feel freer to apply for your next job? Would clearing space in your mind from this give you more energy? Would you stop holding tight to something that doesn’t serve you, and what would that feel like, the letting go?

This work is not for the faint of heart, because once you witness what wants to change, there’s work. The seeing or knowing doesn’t make the change, it’s taking action and working with the discomfort that arises. Making different choices when you want to respond the usual way. Finding ways to support yourself in the discomfort of change.

I suggest pondering and writing through the questions above, if you’re keen for a perspective shift.

If you’re feeling called to do more of this work, as we head into 2023, my 21 Day Conscious Manifestation Course is starting on Jan 1. It’s an opportunity to do some inner exploration, if you’re interested in finding out more, details will be coming soon.

In the meantime, I hope you can take some moments to consider the questions above.

With love,
Noelle
